Welcome to ExactEstate! This page will give you a brief overview of our system and how everything works.
ExactEstate is a fully-integrated, complete Real Estate/Property Management Software Solution. Although the pages throughout the system provide guided help with the click of the Help Icon in the upper right of every page, this User Guide was developed to help with On-Boarding as well as keeping users fresh on all aspects of the system.
After realizing many of the limitations provided by management software in our industry we've worked closely with our clients to offer a solution that expedites the online requirements and gets our users back out doing what they should be doing... interacting with residents! But first, we must learn how to use the software...
We are fully tested in Google Chrome as this is our primary development browser, as such we would suggest the use of Chrome with ExactEstate before any other browser on this list.
We are fully tested in Mozilla Firefox and also use this as a development browser, this would be the alternative or secondary browser we would suggest if you do not wish to use Chrome.
The latest version of Microsoft Edge is built on the same web engine that Google Chrome is built with, in fact, Microsoft recently moved from their own web engine to the same one used in Chromium Browsers for better support so Edge, as long as it is upgraded to the latest version, will work similarly to Chrome.

*Versions of edge that are old still use the same rendering engine as Internet Explorer, which is an outdated incompatible browser for use with our system. You should ensure you have the latest version or it will not work. As of this time the version that works with ExactEstate is version 83.0.478.58, released on 07/03/2020. Future releases are acceptable as well.
We have not done testing in Opera, but it uses the same rendering engine used with Chrome and the new Edge. Given this information, Opera should work exactly as expected with ExactEstate.
We have have completed partial testing in Safari, but it does provide potential differences in the way pages are rendered, so use of this browser is not fully recommended.
Our login page is simple, there is a form in which you enter in the system credentials provided to you by an Admin of the system. There is no option for users to freely register for the system, it must be completed in the User section of the Administrative Interface.
If you have forgotten your password, no worries, we have a button at the bottom of the submit button that is labeled, "Forgot Password?"
Step 2: Forgotten Password
If you have forgotten your password and clicked the "Forgot Password?" link as described in Step 1 then you will be shown this page. From here, you enter in the username you wish to reset the password for and the email address on file will be emailed the information to complete the password reset.
Step 3: Resetting your Password
After submitting the form, you will be emailed a secure password reset link and from there you can enter in a new password for your account.
Our system is Property-Based. This means that you have different "versions" of the system for each Property in your company portfolio. To access each Property's System you must select the Property either from the homepage property-selection dashboard, or from the property-selection navigation link located at the top of every page. It is important to note that the only Properties you see are Properties that you have been given access to by an Admin of the system. If you do not have access to a Property, you cannot do anything associated with it.
Here is the selection modal that opens when you click property-selection navigation link in the header of any page of the system.
Selecting a Property using the pop-up modal will allow you to stay on whatever page you are currently viewing, so this does not need to be completed from the Home Dashboard.
Although we have put a lot of effort into making the navigation in the system easy and intuitive, we get it, there is a lot of functionality to maneuver. For this reason we have implemented a feature that allows you to load your favorite links in super simplistic modal for easy access. To view your Favorite Links click the navigation link in the header of each page.
Here is the modal that opens showing you all of your selected favorite links. To edit them, click the "Edit" button
To edit which links show up simply toggle the slider next to each link name. Note that you can only see links in which you have permissions to view.
To Edit your account click the account button in the navigation with your username to the right of it.

If you want to change your account information, you can do this after you click the appropriate link.
If you wish to change your password, this will follow the same steps, and actually uses the same process as we described in the Logging-In Section where we talk about "Forgotten Passwords".
Most sections of the system have walk-through guides that help step you through the items that are on the page. There are two ways you can start the walk-through guides; by clicking on the help button in the upper right of the header navigation, or by pressing SHIFT + ?.
Here you see an example of the guided walk-through in action.
The majority of the tables you see displayed in our system contain a high level of functionality in terms of Searching, Exporting, and Filtering data.
Step 1: Searching
Simply type in the information you want to search in the search bar. The data will filter automatically. Note that not all elements are searchable in every table.
Step 2: Exporting
Click the Icon to open the Export dialog.
You have the ability to export the data shown in the table into PDF, Excel, or CSV format. Please note that the only data exported from a table is the data table visible to you at the time you export. If you wish to export all data do so by showing all items in the table as displayed in Step 5.
Step 3: Filtering
Click the Icon to open the Filter dialog.
You will have the ability to filter specific fields in the table based on the input elements found in the pop-up modal you see here. If you ever need to clear the filters you have selected, click the "Clear Filters" button at the top of the modal.
Step 4: Column Visibility
Click the Icon to open the Column Visibility dialog.
With the Column Visibility Dialog open you can show or hide columns in the table by clicking the column name. Once clicked a column will disappear, to restore visibility for the column simply click the button again.
Step 5: Length
Click the Icon to open the Length dialog.
With the Length Dialog open you can choose how many items are shown in the table by clicking the "25", "50", "75", or "All" button.
ExactEstate is completely permission based, so it is very important to note that although we show all aspects of the system in this guide, an Administrator must grant you the proper permissions based on either your Group or Individually in order for you to be able to fully use each feature of the system.
